Some more site work
Friday, May 15 2009
I've added a hit counter and touched up a few things, as you may or may not be able to tell. I also hope that all of you are using Firefox, as most versions of Internet Explorer destroy the page layout, and in some cases, remove page content. And in other news: as of right now, 170 IP addresses have had access denied due to more comment spamming. Keep it up people, it's getting cold in here and I need more idiots for the fire.

Outside of site work, I am continuing my programming work, adding sound support and collision detection to my solely 2d engine. Now all I need is some game idea and some graphics/design/general motivation and maybe I can continue on.
I'm still going
Wednesday, May 6 2009
Well, I've done some more work on Spectrum... Finalizing the two levels, adding in a couple new things to the engine and starting on a third level. I went back and poked around at an old project of mine, pessimism, fixing a glitch and adjusting some stuff within its engine. Also I started going through Whatnot again to get a feel for its gameplay and engine once more... I'm finding several problems that i had never noticed before now.
MZX work, for the first time in a while
Saturday, May 2 2009
Come to find out CJA had made a level for an old project of mine in MegaZeux called Spectrum. Once I had seen his level i decided to update the game a little and add a level of my own. It's now a working game, just a lack of levels and storyline more or less.

Who knows how far this will actually go, but it's a start.
Some OpenGL and SDL
Thursday, April 23 2009
Well, out of sheer randomness, I went through my old programming projects and found my 3D OpenGL program. I also looked more at my 2D SDL program. I was inspired to put the two together, an SDL/OpenGL 2D/3D display. This is just a screenshot of the hard coded objects. This isn't really ready for any actual use as a game graphics engine, however, with a little removal of the hard coded parts, it could easily be used as one. It should also be cross-platform compatible.

I hope that I can expand this for use in something. If you want to see it for yourself you can download the windows binaries. I'd need some actual graphics first though. At least even to work on something 2D.
A few new systems and some activity
Friday, March 27 2009
There have been a few updates and additions to systems within the site itself. I've made a gallery system for use in my art pages. The password has been replaced with a simpler math problem, for users who might like to comment without the hassle of getting a password from me. Interestingly enough, this system still let through spam on occasion, but I fixed what was causing it. Also as a side note I went and banned a few IP addresses from accessing this site due to said spam.

In other news, Matt is working on a page of his own right now and it should have a link added in soon. My recent vacation to Oklahoma City kept me from doing much else, but I managed to make a single picture and add it to my traditional art gallery.
New computer, new server, not much else
Thursday, March 12 2009
I've built a computer for myself. One much better than the previous one. The server is now on the new one, so bear with me if something is missing or whatnot. I've drawn a picture and maybe added a song or two to my profile, but really not much else. Also, I've added a password to the comment system to avoid further spam, which I just went and cleared out today. If you want the password, just ask me. I'm sure that if you're here for a non-destructive purpose you know me and can get in contact with me if you need to.

A friend of mine has recently released a very short game and that has inspired me to attempt to continue my programming efforts, regardless of how bad my actual game ideas are and how poor my game design skills are.
Hilarious
Old News
I realize my poorly implemented comment system has its flaws and the like... I didn't really think anyone would come along and just spam my comment system, heh. The problem's been dealt with, I wonder if it'll happen again. Probably... Not like I can't handle it though.
Not much going on as of late
Old News
Matt has been working around with some songs and the like and some of us have been discussing random game ideas. We revived an old IRC channel: #kommentgames on irc.esper.net. Otherwise, I'd have to say the group as a whole has been inactive

Some stuff has been added to Kom's profile, including a song and some digital and traditional works.

Well Happy New Year
Old News
All during that weeklong vacation I constantly thought about programming and drawing and other things to do for when I would get home, but now that I'm here, I don't feel like doing anything. I really am out of ideas.

But then again, there's always some hope. I coded a bit and threw together more of a patchy sidescroller. I hope I can develop a better system for this and such. For now I need to work on loading levels from files and getting the system to be more flexible and less static.

I guess it will be a 16x16 tile game, out of ease on my part, since I haven't found anyone to make 32x32 graphics.
I'm Out, but not out cold
Old News
Well, I'll be doing nothing until the coming Monday, as I'm entirely out of state again, as I was over thanksgiving. Happy holidays to you all, then (whoever you all may be). I swear I'll try to get more work done when i get home.
